What a wealth in every respect! This is the first impression we get as we enter
the Pisan Hills, a small but splendid area of Tuscany not far from the Tyrrhenian
Sea and still immersed in the peace of nature, in harmony with the works of man
but still rich in its immaculate charm. We called it wealth, and indeed the historical,
cultural and artistic heritage of the territory fears no rival.
The charm of the little medieval towns with their ancient castles, their fine
palaces with all the allure of the centuries, their churches full of hidden treasures,
are bound to attract the tourist who appreciates such things. The great open spaces
will give great satisfaction to those who love to walk in harmony with nature.
But the Pisan Hills are not an open-air museum, or an untouchable nature reserve:
here you will find a community pulsing with life, thriving on an economy based
on the most varied activities.
Tourism is fast developing, and the various structures on offer, particularly
in terms of hotels and farm holidays, now enriched by the splendid complex of
Terme Villa Borri, are ready to welcome all those who love a really special holiday.
Then there are numerous events, fairs, and meetings of all kinds, signs of a
rich, thriving social life and a fruitful relationship between man and territory. |
